Innovative Trash Recycling at Charlotte-Douglas Int
At River City Rubbish loves recycling. We are always trying to help the environment when getting rid of your waste. We are constantly looking for innovative ways to recycle trash, and help improve the environment. When I stumbled upon an Airport using a new method to recycle all of their trash I became really excited. It seems Charlotte-Douglas International Airport has turned to nature to do its dirty work.
1.9 million worms are used to recycle trash at Charlotte-Douglas.
The officials at Charlotte-Douglas have begun using almost 2 million worms to recycle their organic trash. While many residents use the compost strategy to recycle on a regular basis this is the first airport I have seen do this on such a large scale. You can read more about this process here.
