Recycling Waste into Art

At River City Rubbish we are big fans of both art and recycling waste. We love when someone asks us to to recycle their waste, and even hold multiple events to promote recycling, reusing, and re-purposing things. The video below is about a piece of art at the Guggenheim Museum in New York by Gabriel Orozoco. The artist takes different pieces of trash or waste that he finds and recycles them to create multiple pieces of art.

We at River City Rubbish applaud Mr. Orozco and the Guggenheim for taking what might be seen as trash and recycling it with a purpose of beauty. Thinking outside the box and being innovative is necessary when it comes to recycling. The other day we posted about the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport being innovative with their approach to recycling, and we are glad to find another way.

Whether it is a single person recycling or reusing what most people see as trash or a giant organization creating new methods of recycling, River City Rubbish is happy to see it and promote it. If you know of anymore more examples of people pushing the envelope with recycling please let us know. While we are on the subject of recycling we would be extremely happy to help you with your bulk recycling needs. Give us a call today at 804-355-2467.
